Perkembangan media sosial yang pesat menjadikan platform seperti “X” (sebelumnya Twitter) ruang berbagai jenis konten, membuat kebijakan terkait konten pornografi yang kini menimbulkan polemik, terutama di kalangan remaja yang tengah membentuk moral dan identitas diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan adalah mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi yang menjadi aktivis UKM Kristen dan mengetahui aturan terkait perizinan konten pornografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Persepsi remaja aktivis UKM Kristen Universitas Lampung terhadap aturan perizinan konten pornografi di media sosial “X” dibentuk oleh faktor internal dan eksternal yang saling terkait. Secara internal, pengalaman pribadi dalam terpapar konten seksual, reaksi emosional yang bervariasi, kekuatan iman, serta nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan oleh keluarga dan agama memengaruhi sikap mereka. Meskipun memiliki latar belakang religius, respons para informan tidak seragam ada yang menolak, bersikap netral, hingga permisif tergantung pada bagaimana mereka memaknai pengalaman dan nilai-nilai tersebut. Secara eksternal, persepsi turut dibentuk oleh algoritma media sosial “X” yang memunculkan konten seksual secara acak dan lingkungan sosial di sekitar mereka, termasuk interaksi dalam organisasi kampus maupun dengan teman sebaya. Kombinasi dari pengalaman digital, dinamika emosional, dan pengaruh sosial inilah yang menjadikan persepsi terhadap kebijakan konten pornografi bersifat berlapis, kontekstual, dan tidak tunggal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor internal dan faktor eksternal sangat memengaruhi cara remaja memaknai isu sensitif seperti perizinan konten pornografi di media sosial. Kata Kunci : persepsi remaja, media sosial X, konten pornografi, faktor fungsional, faktor struktural, kebijakan digital The rapid development of social media has turned platforms like “X” (formerly Twitter) into spaces for various types of content, sparking controversy over policies related to pornographic material—particularly among adolescents who are in the process of shaping their morals and personal identity. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The informants are Communication Science students who are also Christian student organization activists and are aware of the regulations concerning pornographic content permissions. The findings reveal that the perceptions of Christian student activists at the University of Lampung regarding the licensing policy of pornographic content on social media platform “X” are shaped by interconnected internal and external factors. Internally, personal experiences with exposure to sexual content, varying emotional reactions, strength of faith, and values instilled by family and religion influence their attitudes. Despite their religious backgrounds, the informants’ responses were not uniform ranging from rejection and neutrality to permissiveness depending on how they interpreted these experiences and values. Externally, perceptions are also influenced by the algorithm of “X,” which randomly displays sexual content, as well as their social environment, including interactions within campus organizations and with peers. This combination of digital experiences, emotional dynamics, and social influence results in layered, contextual, and non-uniform perceptions of pornographic content policy. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that both internal and external factors strongly influence how adolescents interpret sensitive issues such as the licensing of pornographic content on social media.
