Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cost structure of chayote farming, income from chayote farming, household income of farmers in Sungai Langka Village, Gedong Tataan District, Pesawaran Regency. The research location was chosen deliberately considering that this location is one of the areas that has begun to develop chayote farming in Pesawaran Regency as a form of transition from cocoa land to chayote land in the Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park Area. The number of respondents in this study was 65 chayote farmers with a sampling technique using the saturated sampling technique or total sampling. The study was conducted in January 2025. Data were analyzed using cost structure analysis, income, and household income. The results of the study show that: the largest cost component of the cost structure of chayote farming is the cost of labor in the family with a percentage of 53.73 percent of the total cost of chayote farming which is influenced by the high frequency of harvesting activities of chayote farming in one planting season, the average income of chayote farming is IDR30.028.680,34/ha /ha with R/C for cash costs of 5.50 and R/C for total costs of 1.47, the total income of chayote farming households is IDR38.640.080,00 per year with the largest contribution coming from chayote farming, namely 34,97 percent. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur biaya usahatani labu siam, pendapatan usahatani labu siam, pendapatan rumah tangga petani di Desa Sungai Langka Kecamatan Gedong Tataan Kabupaten Pesawaran. Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara sengaja dengan pertimbangan bahwa lokasi ini merupakan salah satu wilayah yang mulai mengembangkan usahatani labu siam di Kabupaten Pesawaran sebagai bentuk peralihan usahatani dari lahan kakao menjadi lahan labu siam di Kawasan Taman Hutan Raya Wan Abdul Rachman. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 65 petani labu siam dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh atau total sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan pada Januari 2025. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis struktur biaya, pendapatan, dan pendapatan rumah tangga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen biaya terbesar dari struktur biaya usahatani labu siam adalah biaya tenaga kerja dalam keluarga dengan persentase sebesar 53,73 persen terhadap total biaya usahatani labu siam yang dipengaruhi oleh tingginya frekuensi kegiatan panen usahatani labu siam dalam satu musim tanam. Rata-rata pendapatan usahatani labu siam adalah sebesar Rp30.028.680,34/ha dengan R/C atas biaya tunai sebesar 5,50 dan R/C atas biaya total sebesar 1,47. Total pendapatan rumah tangga petani labu siam adalah Rp38.640.080,00 per tahun dengan kontribusi terbesar berasal dari usahatani labu siam yaitu sebesar 34,97 persen.
