Abstract

Partisipasi politik merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam mewujudkan demokrasi yang sehat dan inklusif di tingkat lokal. Tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) mencerminkan sejauh mana kesadaran politik dan keterlibatan warga negara dalam menentukan arah kepemimpinan daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal terhadap partisipasi politik masyarakat dalam Pilkada di Desa Mekarsari, Kecamatan Pagar Dewa, Kabupaten Lampung Barat Tahun 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pemilih tetap Desa Mekarsari, dengan sampel sebanyak 91 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling melalui rumus Slovin. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor seperti sosial ekonomi, psikologis, dan lingkungan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap partisipasi politik masyarakat. dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Faktor internal dan eksternal terbukti menjadi unsur penting dalam mendorong keterlibatan politik masyarakat di tingkat desa. Kata Kunci: Partisipasi, Politik, Pilkada, Mekarsari ANALYSIS OF FACTORS AFFECTING PUBLIC POLITICAL PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL HEAD ELECTIONS IN MEKARSARI VILLAGE, PAGAR DEWA DISTRICT WEST LAMPUNG REGENCY IN 2024 By RIKA NURAISYAH Political participation is one of the key indicators in achieving healthy and inclusive democracy at the local level. The level of community participation in Local Elections (Pilkada) reflects the extent of political awareness and citizen engagement in determining the direction of local leadership. This study aims to determine the influence of internal and external factors on community political participation in the Pilkada in Mekarsari Village, Pagar Dewa Subdistrict, West Lampung Regency in 2024. The method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is all registered voters in Mekarsari Village, with a sample of 91 respondents selected using random sampling techniques based on the Slovin formula. Data collection techniques were conducted through questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study indicate that factors such as socioeconomic, psychological, and environmental factors have a positive and significant influence on community political participation. These factors are influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Internal and external factors have proven to be important elements in encouraging community political involvement at the village level. Keywords: Participation, Politics, Local Elections, Mekarsari
