Politik Etis merupakan salah satu kebijakan yang diterapkan di wilayah Pringsewu. Salah satu Program dari Politik etis di wilayah Pringsewu yaitu Program Irigasi yang dibangun di Pekon Bumi Ratu, kecamatan Pagelaran pada tahun 1927 yang dikenal sebagai Bendungan Way Tebu III. Berlakunya program Irigasi di wilayah Pringsewu berdampak pada Sosial dan Ekonomi masyarakat pada Tahun 1927. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui, 1) sejarah pembangunan irigasi bendungan way Tebu III 2) dampak adanya kebijakan program irigasi terhadap sosial dan ekonomi bagi masyarakat Pringsewu pada tahun 1927. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu metode dokumenter serta menggunakan metode historis yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yakni pemilihan topik, heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya dampak sosial berupa adanya stratifikasi sosial yang muncul dan terjadinya mobilitas sosial di wilayah Pringsewu. Selain itu dampak ekonomi juga dirasakan dari adanya pembangunan irigasi Way Tebu III ini yaitu adanya peningkatan Produktivitas pertanian yang dirasakan masyarakat Pringsewu. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembangunan Bendungan Way Tebu III pada tahun 1927 bukan hanya menjadi bagian dari implementasi Politik Etis di Pringsewu, tetapi juga membawa perubahan signifikan bagi masyarakat setempat, baik dalam aspek sosial maupun ekonomi, sehingga dapat dipahami bahwa kebijakan irigasi kolonial memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk dinamika kehidupan masyarakat Pringsewu pada masa itu. Kata Kunci: Politik Etis, Irigasi, Way Tebu III, Sosial, Ekonomi Ethical Politics is one of the policies implemented in the Pringsewu area. One of the programs from Ethical Politics in the Pringsewu area is the Irrigation Program built in Pekon Bumi Ratu, Pagelaran sub-district in 1927, known as the Way Tebu III Dam. The implementation of the Irrigation Program in the Pringsewu area impacted the social and economic lives of the community in 1927. The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) the history of the Way Tebu III dam irrigation development; and 2) the impact of the irrigation program policy on the social and economic lives of the Pringsewu community in 1927. This research uses data collection techniques in this study, namely the documentary method, and employs the historical method consisting of five stages: topic selection, heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this study indicate that there is a social impact in the form of social stratification emerging and social mobility occurring in the Pringsewu area. In addition, the economic impact of the construction of the Way Tebu III irrigation system is also being felt, namely an increase in agricultural productivity experienced by the people of Pringsewu. This research confirms that the construction of the Way Tebu III Dam in 1927 was not only part of the implementation of Ethical Policy in Pringsewu, but also brought significant changes to the local community, both socially and economically. Therefore, it can be understood that colonial irrigation policies played an important role in shaping the dynamics of life for the Pringsewu
