Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat siswa yang memiliki kecenderungan konformitas negatif akibat tekanan dari teman sebaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat konformitas negatif teman sebaya pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negri 3 Abung Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 54 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala konformitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 54% siswa berada dalam kategori konformitas negatif tinggi, 33% pada kategori sedang, dan 13% pada kategori rendah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas siswa cenderung mengikuti perilaku kelompok meskipun menyimpang dari norma sekolah. Kata kunci: konformitas negatif teman sebaya, remaja, smp The present study addresses the issue of students exhibiting a tendency to conform negative as a result of peer pressure. The aim of this research is to examine the level of peer conformity negative among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Abung Timur. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, with a sample of 54 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a peer conformity scale. The findings reveal that 54% of students fall into the high conformity negative category, 33% into the moderate category, and 13% into the low category. These results suggest that the majority of students tend to adopt group behaviors, even when such behaviors deviate from established school norms.
