Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Learning Cycle 5E merupakan model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa yang terdiri dari beberapa fase yaitu engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, dan evaluation sehingga siswa berperan aktif untuk dapat menguasai kompetensi- kompetensi yang harus dicapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model learning cycle 5E terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMPN 1 Dente Teladas tahun pelajaran 2024/2025 berjumlah 182 siswa yang berdistribusi ke dalam enam kelas yaitu VIII A sampai VIII F. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 28 siswa dan VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 30 siswa yang terpilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pada penelitian ini desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes komunikasi matematis siswa. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model learning cycle 5E berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Kata kunci: learning cycle 5E, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pengaruh. Learning Cycle 5E is a student-centered learning model consisting of several phases namely engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and evaluation so that students play an active role in mastering the competencies that must be achieved. This study aims to determine the effect of learning cycle 5E model on students' mathematical communication ability. The population in this study was all VIII grade of SMPN 1 Dente Teladas in the 2024/2025 academic year totalling 182 students distributed into six classes, namely VIII A to VIII F. The samples of this study were students of class VIII B as an experimental class consisting of 28 students and VIII A as a control class consisting of 30 students selected by purposive sampling technique. In this study, the design used was pretest-posttest control group design and the instrument used was a test instrument mathematical communication skill. The results of data analysis using Mann Whitney U test. The results of data analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test.
