Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of corn farming in Ruguk Village, Ketapang District, South Lampung Regency. As an agricultural country, Indonesia has an agricultural sector that plays an important role in the economy, where corn is one of the strategic commodities. This study was conducted using a non- discounted business feasibility analysis method, which includes analysis of income, costs, and profits from corn farming. The results of the study indicate that corn farming income in Ruguk Village is positive and has potential for development. The feasibility analysis yielded a Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio) of 2.50, indicating that every Rp 1 of costs incurred generates a net benefit of Rp 2.50. Furthermore, the Break Even Point (BEP) reached breakeven, and the Return On Investment (ROI) reached 150.9%, indicating that corn farming in this village is feasible for further development. This study is expected to provide information and input for farmers and the government in developing corn farming businesses, as well as improving the welfare of the community in Ruguk Village. Keywords: Feasibility, Farming Business, Corn. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan usaha tani jagung di Desa Ruguk, Kecamatan Ketapang, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Sebagai negara agraris, Indonesia memiliki sektor pertanian yang berperan penting dalam perekonomian, di mana jagung menjadi salah satu komoditas strategis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis kelayakan usaha tidak berdiskonto, yang mencakup analisis pendapatan, biaya, dan keuntungan dari usaha tani jagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan usaha tani jagung di Desa Ruguk positif dan memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan. Dari analisis kelayakan, diperoleh nilai Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio) sebesar 2,50, yang menunjukkan bahwa setiap Rp 1 biaya yang dikeluarkan menghasilkan manfaat bersih sebesar Rp 2,50. Selain itu, Break Even Point (BEP) mencapai titik impas, dan Return On Investment (ROI) mencapai 150,9%, yang menandakan bahwa usaha tani jagung di desa ini layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi dan masukan bagi petani dan pemerintah dalam pengembangan usaha tani jagung, serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat di Desa Ruguk.
