Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model discovery learning pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan aktivitas belajar siswa SMA. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAS Persada Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling. Metode penelitian ini adalah weak experiment dengan the static group pretest posttest design. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah soal pretest dan posttest penguasaan konsep, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan skala penilaian keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor posttest penguasaan konsep siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Kata kunci: discovery learning, penguasaan konsep, aktivitas belajar ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the discovery learning model on solubility and product of solubility in improving concept mastery and learning activities of high school students. The population of this study were all grade XI students of Persada Bandar Lampung High School in the 2024/2025 school year. The samples of this study were students of class XI 1 as the control class and XI 2 as the experimental class. Sampling in this study using total sampling technique. This research method is a weak experiment with the static group pretest posttest design. The Instruments in this study were pretest and posttest questions on concept mastery,student activity observation sheets, and a scale for assessing the implementationof learning. The results showed that the posttest score of students' concept mastery in the experimental class was higher than the control class. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model is effective to improve students' concept mastery on solubility and solubility product.
