ABSTRAK Masalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas IV pada pembelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) materi IPA. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem- based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode quasi experimental tipe nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non- probability sampling tipe purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 54 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik tes berupa soal pilihan ganda dengan pembahasan dan non tes berupa lembar observasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakna regresi linear sederhana dengan hasil nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan model problem-based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri. Kata kunci: ilmu pengetahuan alam dan sosial, kemampuan berpikir kritis, problem-based learning ABSTRACT The research problem in this study was the low critical thinking ability of fourth- grade students in IPAS (Integrated Natural and Social Sciences) lessons, specifically in the science material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group type. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling of the purposive sampling type. The sample in this study consisted of 54 students. Data were collected using both test and non-test techniques, with the test in the form of multiple-choice questions accompanied by explanations, and the non-test in the form of observation sheets. Hypothesis testing was conducted using simple linear regression, which yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it was concluded that the use of the Problem-Based Learning model had a significant effect on the critical thinking ability of fourth-grade students in public elementary schools.
