Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengklasifikasi dan meng- interpretasi pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah weak eksperimen dengan desain static- group prettest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI di SMAS Persada Bandar Lampung pada Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas XI.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI.1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan pretes postes materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan skala penilaian keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menghitung rata-rata skor postes dan menghitung n-gain rata-rata setiap kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor postes di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol dan diperoleh rata-rata n-gain di kelas eksperimen berkategori tinggi . Berdasarkan hal tersebut disim- pulkan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery learning efektif dalam meningkat- kan keterampilan mengklasifikasi dan menginterpretasi pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Kata kunci : discovery learning, kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, keterampilan menginterpretasi, mengklasifikasi This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the discovery learning model in improving the skills of classifying and interpreting the material on solubility and solubility product. The research method used in this study is a weak experiment with a static-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all students of class XI at SMAS Persada Bandar Lampung in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Sampling in this study used the total sampling technique. The sample in this study was class XI.2 as the experimental class and class XI.1 as the control class. The instruments in this study used pretest-posttest material on solubility and solubility product, student activity observation sheets, and learning implementation assessment scales. Data analysis in this study was carried out by calculating the average posttest score and calculating the average n-gain of each class. The results showed that the average posttest score in the experimental class was higher than the control class and the average n-gain obtained in the experimental class was in the high category. Based on this, it is concluded that the discovery learning model is effective in improving the skills of classifying and interpreting the material on solubility and solubility products.
