Abstract

Penelitan ini membahas tentang diskursus stigma perempuan sebagai sumber korupsi analisis wacana kritis Sara Mills pada media online, Tribunnews.com dan Suara.com. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang bagaimana stigma perempuan ditampilkan dalam pemberitaan di situs berita online terhadap istri pejabat yang korupsi. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi di dua situs berita online, yakni Tribunnews.com dan Suara.com. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa istri pejabat yang terlibat kasus korupsi, perempuan ditampilkan sebagai objek yang disudutkan sebagai pendorong kejahatan suaminya melakukan korupsi. Pemberitaan juga cenderung dibuat di luar konteks dan cenderung sensasional. Pemberitaan media mengenai Perempuan lebih fokus pada gaya hidup perempuan, mengalihkan perhatian dari tindakan korupsi itu sendiri dan menggantinya dengan sensasi yang merugikan perempuan. Perempuan sering digambarkan sebagai sosok yang tidak wajar terlibat dalam korupsi, dengan stereotip negatif yang mengaitkan mereka dengan materialisme dan hedonisme. Kata kunci: gender, istri pejabat, perempuan, korupsi This research discusses discourse of stigma against women as sources of corruption, using Sara Mills approach to critical discourse analysis, with data drawn from the online media platforms Tribunnews.com and Suara.com. The aim of this research is to analyze how women are stigmatized in news coverage related to the wives of corrupt officials. Data were collected through document analysis of selected news articles from the two websites. The findings reveal that the wives of officials implicated in corruption cases are often portrayed as passive objects, scapegoated as instigators of their husbands corrupt actions. The news articles tend to be decontextualized and sensationalized. Media coverage tends to focus more on women lifestyles, diverting attention away from the actual acts of corruption and replacing it with sensational content that disadvantages women. Women are frequently depicted as being unnaturally involved in corruption, often framed through negative stereotypes that associate them with materialism and hedonism.
