Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
This study is aimed at describing (1) the process of implementation of peer editing in learning writing descriptive text to the second grade students of SMP N 3 Pekalongan East Lampung, and (2) the students’ perception about the value of peer editing in writing. This study is descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted at SMPN 3 Pekalongan, East Lampung. The subject was the class VIII 1 which consisted of 30 students. The instruments used to collect the data were classroom observation, questionnaire, and interview. In this study, the observation showed that in implementing peer editing, the teacher already followed the stages suggested by Zeng (2006). Furthermore, the students also responded to peer editing positively. From the questionnaire and interview, the writer found that most of the students had positive perception about peer editing in writing activity. They believed that peer editing brought some advantages for them.
