Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan ice breaking dalam pembelajaran Seni Budaya dan Prakarya (SBDP) di SMP Amal Bakti Jati Agung serta dampaknya terhadap motivasi dan partisipasi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ice breaking dalam pembelajaran SBDP mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan, meningkatkan interaksi siswa, serta membantu mengurangi kejenuhan dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, strategi ini juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan konsentrasi dan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses belajar. Dengan demikian, penerapan ice breaking dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran SBDP di tingkat SMP. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran SBDP, ice breaking, konsentrasi, efektif. This study aims to describe the application of ice breaking in learning Arts, Culture and Crafts (SBDP) at SMP Amal Bakti Jati Agung and its impact on student motivation and participation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the use of ice breaking in SBDP learning can create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere, increase student interaction, and help reduce boredom in learning. In addition, this strategy also contributes to increasing student concentration and active involvement in the learning process. Thus, the application of ice breaking can be an alternative effective learning strategy in improving the quality of SBDP learning at the junior high school level.
