Abstract
ABSTRAK Pada penelitian ini, pelet bambu betung dan kayu karet dipirolisis menggunakan variasi suhu 350oC, 400oC, dan 450oC dengan durasi 10, 20, dan 30 menit. Pelet biomassa hasil pirolisis dianalisis untuk mengetahui sifat fisis, nilai proksimat, dan nilai kalor. Pirolisis memberikan pengaruh yang siginifikan terhadap karakteristik pelet biomassa, seperti penurunan kerapatan yang signifikan setelah dipirolisis. Pelet biomassa hasil pirolisis juga mengalami penurunan kadar air yang meningkatkan kualitas pelet arang biomassa Pelet arang biomassa hasil pirolisis memberikan peningkatan pada analisis proksimat dan nilai kalor. Pada uji ketahanan air, pelet pirolisis ditiap suhu tidak mengalami perubahan fisik setelah perendaman selama 24 jam. Perubahan warna (∆E*) pelet bambu betung dan kayu karet yang berubah total menjadi berwarna hitam pada tiap suhu Kata kunci: bioenergi, pelet biomassa, pirolisis, biochar. ABSTRACT In this study, bamboo pellets and rubber wood pellets were pyrolyzed at temperatures of 350°C, 400°C, and 450°C for durations of 10, 20, and 30 minutes. The pyrolyzed biomass pellets were analyzed to determine their physical properties, proximate values, and calorific values. Pyrolysis significantly affected the characteristics of the biomass pellets, such as a significant decrease in density after pyrolysis. The pyrolyzed biomass pellets also experienced a decrease in moisture content, which improved the quality of the biomass charcoal pellets. The pyrolyzed biomass charcoal pellets showed improvements in proximate analysis and calorific value. In the water resistance test, pyrolysis pellets at each temperature did not undergo physical changes after soaking for 24 hours. Color changes (∆E*) in bamboo and rubber wood pellets turned completely black at each temperature. Keywords: bioenergy, biomass pellets, pyrolysis, biochar.
