Peran Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan dalam mendampingi petani memiliki kontribusi penting terhadap keberhasilan penerapan panca usahatani yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada produktivitas padi sawah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menganalisis peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan dalam penerapan panca usahatani padi sawah, (2) menganalisis hubungan antara peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan dengan penerapan panca usahatani, dan (3) menganalisis hubungan antara penerapan panca usahatani dengan produktivitas padi sawah di Kecamatan Metro Selatan, Kota Metro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan , tingkat penerapan panca usahatani, serta hubungan antara peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan dengan penerapan panca usahatani dan hubungannya dengan produktivitas padi di Kecamatan Metro Selatan, Kota Metro. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif terhadap 40 petani responden yang ditentukan secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan berada pada kategori baik dan penerapan panca usahatani tergolong sedang hingga tinggi. Uji korelasi menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara peran penyuluh pertanian lapangan dengan penerapan panca usahatani, namun hubungan antara penerapan panca usahatani dengan produktivitas padi tidak signifikan secara statistik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun peran penyuluh mampu meningkatkan penerapan teknologi budidaya, produktivitas padi juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti kondisi lahan, modal, dan manajemen usahatani. This study aims to: (1) analyze the role of field agricultural extension workers in the implementation of the five farming principles of rice paddy, (2) analyze the relationship between the role of field agricultural extension workers and the implementation of the five farming principles, and (3) analyze the relationship between the implementation of the five farming principles and the productivity of rice paddy in Metro Selatan District, Metro City. This study aims to determine the role of field agricultural extension workers, the level of implementation of the five farming principles, and the relationship between the role of field agricultural extension workers and the implementation of the five farming principles and their relationship to rice productivity in Metro Selatan District, Metro City. The study used a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach to fourty(40) respondent farmers who were determined purposively. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive analysis and Spearman Rank correlation tests. The results showed that the role of field agricultural extension workers was in the good category and the implementation of the five farming principles was classified as moderate to high. Correlation tests showed a positive and significant relationship between the role of agricultural extension workers and the implementation of the five agricultural principles, but the relationship between the implementation of the five agricultural principles and rice productivity was not statistically significant. This suggests that while the role of extension workers can improve the application of cultivation technology, rice productivity is also influenced by other factors such as land conditions, capital, and farm management.
