Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong meningkatnya praktik perjudian online yang berdampak pada ketertiban sosial dan penegakan hukum di Provinsi Lampung. Kondisi ini menuntut peran aktif Kepolisian Daerah Lampung dalam melakukan upaya pencegahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepolisian dalam pencegahan perjudian online serta mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dihadapi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya pencegahan dilakukan melalui langkah pre-emtif (penyuluhan dan kampanye digital), preventif (patroli siber dan pemblokiran situs), serta represif (penyelidikan dan penindakan hukum), dengan hambatan utama berupa keterbatasan teknologi, kompleksitas regulasi, dan kendala koordinasi antarinstansi. Disimpulkan bahwa peran kepolisian telah berjalan secara fungsional, namun masih memerlukan penguatan kapasitas dan sinergi kelembagaan agar pencegahan lebih efektif. Kata kunci: peran kepolisian, perjudian online, pencegahan tindak pidana The development of digital technology has led to an increase in online gambling practices, impacting social order and law enforcement in Lampung Province. This situation demands an active role from the Lampung Regional Police in preventive measures. This study aims to analyze the role of the police in online gambling prevention and identify the obstacles encountered. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach using interview, observation, and documentation techniques, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that preventive measures are implemented through preemptive measures (education and digital campaigns), preventive measures (cyber patrols and website blocking), and repressive measures (investigations and legal enforcement), with the main obstacles being technological limitations, regulatory complexity, and challenges in inter-agency coordination. It is concluded that the police's role has been functional, but still requires capacity building and institutional synergy for more effective prevention.
