Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berorientasi environmental approach pada materi interaksi antar makhluk hidup dan lingkungannya terhadap keterampilan reflective thinking peserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Natar tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan bentuk pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas yang berjumlah 72 peserta didik dan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kesetaraan kemampuan awal dan karakteristik kelas. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest keterampilan reflective thinking, serta angket tanggapan peserta didik. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test setelah memenuhi uji prasyarat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penerapan model PBL berorientasi environmental approach terhadap peningkatan keterampilan reflective thinking peserta didik, t-test dengan nilai signifikansi (p < 0,05) dan nilai effect size sebesar 1,53 yang termasuk dalam kategori besar. Peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada nilai indikator refleksi, yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan peserta didik dalam mengevaluasi proses dan hasil pembelajaran berkembang secara optimal. Selain itu, tanggapan peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata sebesar 81,52%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL berorientasi environmental approach efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan reflective thinking peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Environmental approach, model Problem-Based Learning, pembelajaran IPA, reflective thinking, siswa SMP This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model oriented to the environmental approach on the material of interactions between living things and their environment on the reflective thinking skills of students at SMP Negeri 1 Natar in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a quasi- experimental design with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group. The research sample consisted of two classes totaling 72 students and was selected through a purposive sampling technique based on the equality of initial abilities and class characteristics. The research data were in the form of quantitative data obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest of reflective thinking skills, as well as student response questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using an independent sample t-test after fulfilling the prerequisite test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the application of the PBL model oriented to the environmental approach on improving students' reflective thinking skills, with a t-test with a significance value of (p < 0.05) and an effect size value of 1.53, which is included in the large category. The highest increase occurred in the reflection indicator value, which shows that students' ability to evaluate the learning process and results developed optimally. Furthermore, students' responses to the learning process were in the very good category, with an average score of 81.52%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the environmental approach-oriented PBL model is effective in improving students' reflective thinking skills.
