Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Kemajuan teknologi digital telah memicu maraknya praktik judi online yang menyasar mahasiswa sebagai kelompok rentan, sehingga berdampak pada gangguan pola interaksi sosial dan prestasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perubahan pola interaksi sosial mahasiswa akibat kecanduan judi online. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, melalui teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik George Herbert Mead. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kecanduan judi online merupakan produk interaksi simbolik di mana mind mahasiswa memaknai judi sebagai hal yang mudah dan menarik, serta adanya dominasi dorongan impulsif “I” atas kesadaran sosial “Me” dalam dinamika self yang mengakibatkan hilangnya kontrol diri. Temuan ini menegaskan krusialnya peran society (generalized other) dalam memperkuat “Me” melalui dukungan sosial, sehingga penanganan kecanduan memerlukan pendekatan holistik yang mempertimbangkan konstruksi makna, keseimbangan konsep diri, dan penciptaan lingkungan yang suportif. Kata kunci: Kecanduan, judi online, interaksi simbolik Advancements in digital technology have fueled the proliferation of online gambling, targeting university students as a vulnerable group. This phenomenon has significantly disrupted their social interaction patterns and academic performance. This study aims to delineate the shifts in students' social interaction patterns resulting from online gambling addiction. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected via observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using George Herbert Mead’s theory of symbolic interactionism. The results reveal that online gambling addiction is a product of symbolic interaction wherein the student's mind interprets gambling as an accessible and appealing activity. Furthermore, the dominance of the impulsive “I” over the socially conscious “Me” within the dynamics of the self leads to a loss of self-control. These findings underscore the crucial role of society (the generalized other) in reinforcing the “Me” through social support. Consequently, addressing this addiction requires a holistic approach that considers the construction of meaning, the equilibrium of the self-concept, and the creation of a supportive environment.
