Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi dan tingkat modal sosial masyarakat dalam pengembangan agroforestri alpukat Siger di Gapoktan Agro Mulyo Lestari, wilayah kelola UPTD KPH Gunung Balak, Lampung. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan data primer melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap 70 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan kombinasi purposive dan random sampling dari total populasi 232 anggota. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui tabel berdasarkan enam unsur modal sosial, yaitu grup dan jaringan, kepercayaan dan solidaritas, aksi kolektif dan kerja sama, informasi dan komunikasi, inklusi dan kohesi sosial, serta pemberdayaan dan aksi politik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh unsur modal sosial berfungsi dalam memperkuat kapasitas masyarakat untuk berorganisasi, berpartisipasi, dan berinovasi dalam pengelolaan agroforestri. Tingkat modal sosial masyarakat Gapoktan Agro Mulyo Lestari berada pada kategori substantial social capital, yang tercermin dari tingginya partisipasi anggota, kuatnya rasa saling percaya, keterhubungan jaringan dengan lembaga formal, serta kemampuan melakukan aksi kolektif yang terorganisir. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa modal sosial berperan penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan pengelolaan hutan kemasyarakatan berbasis agroforestri alpukat Siger secara berkelanjutan, baik dari aspek ekonomi maupun ekologi. Kata Kunci: aksi kolektif dan kerja sama, grup dan jaringan, informasi dan komunikasi, inklusi dan kohesi sosial, kepercayaan dan solidaritas The study aims to analyze the contribution and level of community social capital in the development of Siger avocado agroforestry at the Agro Mulyo Lestari Farmers’ Group, within the management area of the Gunung Balak Forest Management Unit (UPTD KPH), Lampung. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using primary data collected through observation and interviews with 70 respondents, selected via a combination of purposive and random sampling from a total population of 232 members. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods through table across six elements of social capital: groups and networks; trust and solidarity; collective action and cooperation; information and communication; social inclusion and cohesion; and empowerment and political action. The results indicate that all elements of social capital function to strengthen the community’s capacity to organize, participate, and innovate in agroforestry management. The level of social capital among the members of the Gapoktan Agro Mulyo Lestari falls into the substantial social capital category, as evidenced by high member participation, strong mutual trust, network connectivity with formal institutions, and the ability to carry out organized collective action. These findings confirm that social capital plays a crucial role in supporting the success of sustainable community-based forest management centered on Siger avocado agroforestry, both from economic and ecological perspectives.
