abstract: This research was based on the lack of children’s independence at age 4-5 years at TK Padma Mandiri Bandar Lampung. The research of children who are 4-5 years old at TK Padma Mandiri Bandar Lampung is conducted because of the lack of children’s independence. This research aimed to find out the use of collaborative learning method to improve children’s independence at age 4-5 years. this research used quantitative approach with quasi experimental method and one group pre-experiment - post-experiment design. The sample of this research was 11 children which was taken by purposive sampling. This research used observation with observation sheet and interview to collect the data. The data analysis used statistic non parametric Wilcoxon. The result showed that collaborative learning method could improve children’s independence at age 4-5 years at TK Padma Mandiri

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah belum berkembangnya kemandirian anak di TK Padma Mandiri Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaaan metode pembelajaran kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan  kemandirian anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif metode Quasi Eksperiment dengan  desain penelitian One Group Pre Eksperiment- Post Eksperiment. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 11 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dengan alat penilaian berupa lembar observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan statistik non parametrik Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan menggunakan metode  pembelajaran kolaboratif dapat meningkatkan kemandirian anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Padma Mandiri.
