The research was conducted at SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung . This is quantitative research has used ex pos facto design. The data was taken from the test given to the class X2 as the sample. The sample was chosen randomly through lottery. There are two kinds of test: listening test and generic structure test. The former consists of multiple choice tests. The data has been analyzed by using the statistical formula of Pearson Product Moment. The r-value of the analyses shows that coefficient correlation between achievement in generic structure and listening comprehension is 0.573. The r-table of Pearson Product Moment Correlation at the significant level of 0.01 was 0.495. So, the r-value (0.573) was higer than the r-table (0.495). It means that there is correlation and H 1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is significant correlation between students‘ achievement in generic structure and their listening comprehension. The students who got good score in generic structure test tended to have good score in listening test too. But, there are some students that got good score in generic structure test but in listening test they got low score and there are students that got bad score in generic structure but in listening test they got good
