Endorser is one of marketing\r\ncommunication strategy to create an effective advertising. The effective of\r\nadvertisement can influence both consumers buying decision and product sales. This\r\nresearch is designated to compare advertisement effectiveness between Yamaha\r\nJupiter Z television advertising with Komeng to the same advertising with Jorge\r\nLorenzo as the endorser. The method used is EPIC model with University of\r\nLampung students majoring social and politics science that still active until\r\n2009/2010 as the respondent. \r\n This research use questionnaire as the main data source which consists of\r\nthree parts, respondents demographic profile, brand awareness and respondents\r\nstatements regarding EPIC dimensions comprise of empathy, persuasion, impact and\r\ncommunication. Sample taken with the purposive sampling. Data analysis method\r\nused is quantitative analysis, the reliability, validity and hypothesis testing.\r\n The research resulted different score between the two advertisement with\r\nEPIC model method scored 4,465 for Yamaha Jupiter Z Komeng version, which\r\nproved to be more effective compared to the Yamaha Jupiter Z Jorge Lorenzo version\r\nwith total score of 4,387. \r\n\r\n\r\nKey words : Advertisement Effectiveness, EPIC Model, Endorser \r\n\r\n \r\nABSTRAK \r\nEFEKTIVITAS ENDORSER PADA IKLAN MEDIA TELEVISI\r\n(ANALISIS MENGGUNAKAN METODE EPIC MODEL) \r\nOleh \r\nTristantia Anugrah \r\n Periklanan merupakan salah satu tahap dalam pemasaran. Penggunaan endorser\r\nadalah salah satu bentuk strategi komunikasi pemasaran untuk menciptakan iklan\r\nyang efektif. Efektivitas iklan dapat mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen\r\ndan penjualan produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan\r\ntingkat efektivitas sebuah iklan antara iklan televisi Yamaha Jupiter Z versi Komeng\r\ndan versi Jorge Lorenzo dengan menggunakan metode EPIC model pada mahasiswa\r\nS-1 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung yang masih aktif\r\nsampai dengan tahun ajaran 2009/2010. \r\n Penelitian yang mengambil populasi dan sampel pada mahasiswa S-1 Fakultas\r\nIlmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung ini termasuk dalam jenis\r\npenelitian survei dengan alat pengumpulan data utama berupa kuesioner. Lembar\r\nkuesioner sendiri terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu profil demografi responden, brand\r\nawareness dan pernyataan-pernyataan responden mengenai dimensi-dimensi EPIC\r\nyang meliputi dimensi empathy, dimensi persuasion, dimensi impact dan dimensi\r\ncommunication. Sampel penelitian ini diambil secara purposive sampling. Metode\r\nanalisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif yaitu uji reliabilitas, uji\r\nvaliditas dan uji hipotesis.\r\n Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai ketika\r\nresponden melihat iklan televisi Yamaha Jupiter Z versi Komeng dibandingkan iklan\r\ntelevisi Yamaha Jupiter Z versi Jorge Lorenzo. Analisis metode EPIC model terhadap\r\niklan televisi Yamaha Jupiter Z versi Komeng menghasilkan skor 4,465 terbukti lebih\r\nefektif dibandingkan iklan televisi Yamaha Jupiter Z versi Jorge Lorenzo yang \r\nmemiliki skor nilai 4,387. \r\n\r\nKata kunci : Efektivitas Iklan, EPIC Model, Endorser \r\n \r\n "^^ .
