Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kurang optimalnya kinerja Dinas Bina Marga Provinsi Lampung dalam pemeliharaan infrastruktur jalan, hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya kontrol terhadap infrastruktur jalan yang rusak. Namun pada rencana strategi Dinas Bina Marga Provinsi Lampung tahun 2014-2019 Dinas Bina Marga Provinsi Lampung mempunyai tupoksi dalam pemeliharaan jalan provinsi di Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja Dinas Bina Marga Provinsi Lampung dalam pemeliharaan infrastruktur jalan di Kecamatan Sukoharjo, Kabupaten Pringsewu.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Sedangkan teknik analisa data yang digunakan yaitu melalui tahap reduksi data, tahap penyajian data, dan tahap kesimpulan data (verifikasi data).

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini adalah kinerja Dinas Bina Marga Provinsi Lampung dapat dikatakan tidak efektif, hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya kerjasama yang baik antara Dinas Bina Marga Provinsi Lampung dengan pihak pengerja terkait bahan baku yang digunakan, kemudian kurangnya daya tanggap dalam penyediaan bahu jalan dan fasilitas pejalan kaki dan juga kurangnya monitoring atau pemantauan terkait keberadaan dan kondisi drainase yang ada di Jalan Kecamatan Sukoharjo.

ABSTRACT
Problems in this study were less than optimal performance of the Department of Highways Lampung Province in the maintenance of road infrastructure, it is shown by the lack of control over the damaged road infrastructure. However, the Highways Agency strategic plan of 2014-2019 Lampung Provincial Highways Office of Lampung Province has duties in the maintenance of provincial roads in the province of Lampung. This study aims to determine the performance of the Department of Highways Lampung Province in the maintenance of road infrastructure in the district of Sukoharjo, Pringsewu Regency.
The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques is made by in-depth interviews, observation, and literature study. While data analysis technique used is through the stages of data reduction, data presentation stage, and the stage of conclusion of the data (data verification).

Based on these results was the performance of the Department of Highways Lampung Province can be said to be ineffective, it is shown by the lack of cooperation between the Department of Highways Lampung province with the project in related raw materials used, then the lack of responsiveness in the supply of the shoulder and facilities pedestrian foot and also a lack of monitoring or related monitoring the whereabouts and condition of the existing drainage in the District Road Sukoharjo.
