Hal ini dikarenakan kemampuan mereka dalam mengoperasikan rumus fisika secara matematika masih kurang. Apalagi pada materi gerak, siswa harus bisa mengoperasikan rumus matematika, sebab terdapat beberapa hubungan dan formulasi matematika dalam penguasaan konsep gerak. Salah satu upaya yang dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep khususnya pada materi gerak adalah menumbuhkan skill representasi matematika mereka. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti mencoba melakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh skill representasi matematika terhadap penguasaan konsep gerak siswa SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1)Mendeskripsikan pengaruh skill representasi matematika terhadap penguasaan konsep gerak siswa SMP, dan (2)Mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep gerak siswa SMP dengan menggunakan skill representasi matematika. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Pringsewu, menggunakan satu kelas yaitu kelas VII5 dengan jumlah sampel 38 siswa dan menggunakan desain One- Group Pretest ? Posttest. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh data skill representasi matematika, data pretest dan posttest penguasaan konsep siswa yang berdistribusi normal dan linier. Kemudian untuk menguji pengaruh dilakukan uji linearitas, korelasi, dan regresi linear sederhana antara data skill representasi matematika dan data posttest penguasaan konsep. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep dilakukan perhitungan persentase kenaikan skor, N-gain, dan uji paired samples t test dari data pretest dan posttest penguasaan konsep siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1)Terdapat pengaruh linear yang positif dan signifikan antara skill representasi matematika terhadap penguasaan konsep gerak siswa SMP dengan kontribusi sebesar 67\% dan persamaan regresinya adalah Y? = 7,818 + 1,288 X, dan (2)Terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dari penguasaan konsep gerak siswa SMP dengan menggunakan skill representasi matematika, dengan nilai N-gain rata-rata 0,58 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Based on this, researchers are trying to do research to determine the effect of the representation of mathematical skills to junior high school students' mastery of the concept of motion. This study aimed to: (1) Knowing the mathematical representation of the influence of skill on students' mastery of the concept of junior high school movement, and (2) Determine the increase mastery of the concept of motion junior high school students using mathematical representation skills. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Pringsewu, using a single class ie class VII a sample of 38 students and design using the One-Group Pretest - posttest. In this study obtained data representation of mathematical skills, pretest and posttest data students' mastery of the concept of a normal distribution and linear. Then to test the influence of tested linearity, correlation, and simple linear regression between the data representation of mathematical skill and concept mastery posttest data. As for knowing increasing mastery of the concept of percentage increase in score calculation, the N-gain, and the test of paired samples t test of pretest and posttest data student mastery of concepts.
