The result showed that students with positive attitude got the highest score in speaking ability. It means that they were more successful in English speaking ability rather than those with negative or middle attitude. Positive students got the highest score 75.87 for general speaking, pronunciation (73.89), fluency (74.67), and comprehensibility (76.00). It means that attitude had a positive impact on students’ ability in learning. The positive students had a positive impact on students’ ability in speaking. The significance was 0.000 < 0.05, it means that there was a significant difference on English speaking ability between students with positive attitude and those with negative attitude. In short, positive attitude has a good impact to the students’ speaking ability. It happened because positive attitude makes students enjoy in the class and make their confidence raises to speak in English.
