The reality that many women had become the domestic violence’s victims had formed Damar, the Women’s Advocacy Institution, which has specific purpose to stand up for the women’s rights. The associate who has role as the communicator will undertake as much as possible to carry out her role to provide service towards her client by giving mentoring, defense, and protection. In those processes, the researcher had measured 5 humanistic definitions of intrapersonal communication quality, namely openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude, and equality. As for the formulation of the problem of this research is how does the role of the associate’s intrapersonal communication which conducted towards the client in handling the domestic violence’s case? Based on this problem, the researcher intended to conduct a research which purpose is to find out the role of the associate’s intrapersonal communication in handling the domestic violence’s case which the client experienced in Damar - The Women’s Advocacy Institution. This research used qualitative research method by means of interview as the data collection technique and purposive technique as the informant selection technique. Based on the result of the research obtained underwent interviewing 4 informants, among the 5 humanistic definitions of intrapersonal communication from DeVito, there are only two intrapersonal communication qualities that have functioned well in mentoring clients in Damar, specifically empathy and equality.
