abstract: Abstrak

Pada Penelitian ini dikembangkan Live CD sebagai Router berbasis Distro Slax. Live CD
Router merupakan hasil dari modifikasi atau remastering dari Distro Slax. Pada penelitian
ini, dilakukan penambahan aplikasi Firewall dan Network Address Translation (NAT).
Dimana firewall berguna untuk mencegah akses yang tidak dikehendaki dari dalam dan
luar jaringan. Sedangkan NAT merupakan suatu metode untuk menghubungkan lebih dari
satu komputer ke jaringan internet dengan menggunakan satu alamat IP. Dengan adanya
penambahan aplikasi tersebut dapat menambah fungsi kerja dari penggunaan Live CD
Router ini, yang dapat dijalankan tanpa menggunakan hardisk .
Kata Kunci : Live CD, Router, Firewall, NAT (Network Address Translation).

Abstract

In this study developed as a router-based Live CD distro Slax. Live CD Router is
the result of the modification or Slax remastering of distributions. In this study,
the addition of application firewall and Network Address Translation (NAT).
Where a firewall is used to prevent unwanted access from within and outside the
network. While NAT is a method for connecting more than one computer to the
Internet network using a single IP address. The addition of these applications can
increase the work function of the use of Live CD Router, which can be run
without using the hardisk.
