Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan karakteristik demografi, sosial, dan
ekonomi pasangan usia subur yang menggunakan metoda operasi wanita dan
metoda operasi pria di Pekon Tanjung Anom Kecamatan Ambarawa Kabupaten
Pringsewu pada tahun 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini ada 8 orang yaitu 7 menggunakan metoda operasi
wanita dan 1 menggunakan metoda operasi pria. Teknik pengumpulan data
menggunakan teknik kuesioner, wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Analisis
data menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1)
karakteristik demografi meliputi usia kawin pertama rata-rata 19,5 tahun, usia
melahirkan anak pertama akseptor rata-rata 21 tahun, dengan jumlah anak > 2.
Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perkawinan akseptor merupakan perkawinan usia
muda, dengan rata-rata usia saat menggunakan MOW dan MOP pada usia 34,5
tahun. Hal ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap lamanya masa reproduksi akseptor. (2)
Karakteristik sosial yang meliputi tingkat pendidikan pasangan usia subur yang
hanya menempuh pendidikan dasar, namun pengetahuan akseptor mengenai alat
kontrasepsi MOW dan MOP sudah cukup baik, dengan status pekerjaan mayoritas
sebagai petani sawah. (3) Karakteristik ekonomi pasangan usia subur meliputi
pendapatan yang diterima setiap bulannya sebagian besar > Rp. 1.018.000 atau
sudah berada di atas upah minimal karyawan yang berlaku di Kabupaten
Pringsewu.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to assess the characteristic of demographic, social,
and economic aged couple lush (EFA) that used the method of operation women
and operation men at Tanjung Anom village Ambarawa district Pringsewu
regency in the year 2014. The method use in this research is descriptive method.
The population in this research were aged couple lush (EFA) using contraceptive
with operation method of women and men the number of 8 people, that is 7 use
women operation method and 1 use men operation method. The data were
collected by using questionnaire, a structured interview and documentation. Data
analysis technique used is presentation. The result showed that (1) the
characteristic of demographic include age at first marriage that average 19,5 years
old, age at first born child that average 21 years old, and with the number of
children >2. So the number have age of women is a young, and the age of use
MOW and MOP average at 34,5 years old. (2) the characteristic of social include
levels of education EFA only has basic education, but the knowledge of EFA is
good, with majority of employment as farmers. (3) the characteristic of economic
EFA have income each month on average > Rp. 1.018.000 or already above the
minimum wage for employers of Pringsewu regency.
