IPA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 1 SUKARAME
TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016
%X Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya prestasi belajar IPA siswa dan
guru belum menerapkan model PBL dalam kegiatan belajar IPA di kelas IV SD
Negeri 1 Sukarame. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan
model PBL terhadap prestasi belajar IPA siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah metode quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian
nonequivalent control group design, yaitu desain kuasi eksperimen dengan melihat
perbedaan pretest maupun posttest antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang
tidak dipilih secara random (acak). Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling
purposive. Instrumen utama yang digunakan adalah tes. Data dianalisis
menggunakan uji independent sample t test. Hasil analisis data diperoleh simpulan
bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL)
terhadap prestasi belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Sukarame. Hal ini
ditunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa yang mengikuti
pembelajaran IPA menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada kelas
eksperimen (IV C) yaitu 81,00 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa
yang mengikuti metode pembelajaran ceramah pada kelas kontrol (IV B) yaitu 71,30.

ABSTRAK BAHASA INGGRIS

The problem in this research was about student learning achievement of IPA that still
low, and teachers have not applied PBL to the science learning activities IV grade of
SD Negeri 1 Sukarame. This research aimed to determine the effect of PBL model
the learning achievement of IPA. The method that used in this research was quasi
experimental with nonequivalent control group design, which is looking the
differences of pretest and posttest at the experimental class and control class that are
not selected at randomly. This research used purposive sampling technique. The
main instruments that used were test. Data were analyzed using independent sample t
test. The results of data analysis concluded that there was an effect of the use of the
PBL model to the student learning achievement of IPA in IV grade of SD Negeri 1
Sukarame. It was indicated by the average score of the student learning achievement
who took science lesson using PBL model in the experimental class (IV C) that was
81.00, which is higher than average score of student learning achievement that
followed the lecture teaching methods in the control class (IV B) which only got
71.30.
