abstract: Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Think Pair Share ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Natar Lampung Selatan yang terdistribusi dalam 9 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-A dan VIII-C yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini mengguna-kan desain posttest only control design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran TPS tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.

Kata kunci: efektivitas, representasi matematis, think pair share.
