"Pipa merupakan komponen kontruksi yang banyak dipakai industri untuk\r\npenyaluran fluida. Jenis pipa yang banyak dipakai adalah pipa baja. Salah satu\r\npersoalan utama pada pipa adalah korosi. Pada penelitian ini, dikembangakan pipa\r\nPVC berpenguat serat ijuk, sebagai jawaban atas pesoalan tersebut. Pipa PVC\r\ndiberi penguat serat ijuk dengan matriks paduan aspal semen dan matriks epoxy.\r\nUntuk matriks paduan aspal semen sudut pelilitan yang digunakan sebesar 550 dan\r\nuntuk matriks epoxy sudut pelilitan sebesar 900. Teknik pelilitan menggunakan\r\nFilament Winding Technique (Teknik Pelilitan Serat). Pengujian yang dilakukan\r\nmenggunakan Split-Disk Technique (ASTM D2290). Hasil pengujian\r\nmenunjukkan pada spesimen pipa berpenguat serat ijuk matriks paduan aspal\r\nsemen mengalami penurunan pressure limit (tekanan batas) dan kekuatan tarik\r\nhoop. Pada spesimen pipa berpenguat serat ijuk matriks epoxy, nilai pressure limit\r\nmengalami peningkatan tetapi kekuatan tarik hoop mengalami penurunan.\r\nPenurunan kekuatan tarik hoop ini disebabkan antara lain karena terjadinya\r\ndegradasi PVC. Pada spesimen bermatriks paduan aspal semen kekuatan tarik ijuk\r\ntidak teraplikasi karena pemilihan pengujian yang tidak tepat, tidak adanya\r\nperlakuan ijuk sebelum dililitkan, dan proses pelilitan yang kurang tepat.\r\nKata Kunci : Filament Winding Technique, Split-Disk Technique, limit pressure\r\n(tekanan batas), kekuatan tarik hoop.\r\n\r\nABSTRACT\r\n\r\nPipe is a contruction component that commonly use in industry for fluid\r\ndistribution. Steel pipe is the kind of pipe that commonly used in indusrty.\r\nCorrosion is one of the many main pipe problem. In this research, developed PVC\r\npipe reinforced arenga pinnata merr fiber as an answer for this problem. PVC pipe\r\nwas gived reinforced arenga pinnata merr fiber with 2 matrix is combine of\r\nasphalt – cement and epoxy resin. The winding angle of this research that is used\r\nfor combine asphalt-cement matrix is 550 and for epoxy resin as matrix used 900.\r\nIn this research uses ‘‘filament winding technique’’. The experimental has been\r\ndone with split-disk technique (ASTM D2290). The results of experimental shows\r\ndecreasing pressure limit and hoop tensile strength of the specimen reinforced\r\narenga pinnata merr fiber with combine asphalt-cement as matrix. The value of\r\npressure limit for specimen reinforced arenga pinnata merr fiber with epoxy resin\r\nas matrix increases but the hoop tensille strength decreases. This decreasing of\r\ntensile strength hoop is caused by degradation PVC. This matrix specimen\r\ncombined apshalt-cement has tensile strength can’t be applicated because selected\r\nexperimental isn’t appropriate, cause there is no behave to arenga pinnata merr\r\nfiber before filament wound, and the process filament wound isn’t appropriate.\r\nKey Word : Filament winding technique, Split-disk technique, pressure limit,\r\nhoop tensile strength."^^ .
