abstract: Provinsi Lampung mempunyai nilai IPM terendah di antara Provinsi-provinsi di
Pulau Sumatera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh indikator
komposit indeks pembangunan manusia (angka harapan hidup, rata-rata lama
sekolah, angka melek huruf, dan daya beli) terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi
Provinsi Lampung. Data yang digunakan adalah data runtun waktu periode tahun
1999-2013 bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Lampung. Model yang
digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi liniear berganda yang
menggunakan fungsi bentuk logaritma natural dengan teknik estimasi Ordinary
Least Square (OLS). Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa variabel angka harapan
hidup, rata-rata lama sekolah, angka melek huruf, dan daya beli berpengaruh
positif dan signifikan secara statistik terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Saran dari
penelitian ini untuk variabel angka harapan hidup terutama dengan mengurangi
tingginya angka kesakitan, untuk variabel rata-rata lama sekolah dan angka melek
huruf yaitu dengan peningkatan pendidikan, dan pada variabel daya beli salah
satunya dengan menjaga kestabilan tingkat inflasi.

ABSTRACT

Lampung Province has the lowest Human Development Index (HDI) value among
the Provinces on the Island of Sumatra. This research aims to analyze the effect of
a composite indicator of human development index (expectation of life, Mean
years of schooling, Literacy rate, Purchasing power parity) on economic growth
Lampung Province. In this study used time series data 1999-2013 period and
sourced from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of Lampung Province. Model in this
study using multiple linear regression analysis model which uses natural
logarithm function with estimation techniques Ordinary Least Square (OLS).
Regression analysis shows that the expectation of life variable have a positive
impact and significant on economic growth. Mean years of schooling variable
have a positive impact and significant on economic growth. Literacy rate variable
have a positive influence and significant on economic growth. Purchasing power
parity have a positive impact and significant on economic growth. Suggestions
from this study for the life expectancy variable is especially by reducing the high
morbidity rate, for mean years of schooling variable and literacy rate variable with
increase the education, and purchasing power parity variable to maintain the
stability of inflation rate.
