        abstract = {Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis 1) tingkat keberhasilan program
PUAP, 2) tingkat peranan PPL dalam program PUAP, dan 3) faktor-faktor yang
berhubungan dengan keberhasilan program PUAP. Penelitian ini dilakukan di
Kecamatan Sungkai Selatan Kabupaten Lampung Utara. Sampel dalam penelitian
ini berjumlah 52 petani responden yang dipilih secara acak dan 12 PPL responden
yang dipilih secara sengaja. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif
kualitatif, tabulasi, dan korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan bahwa 1) tingkat keberhasilan Program PUAP sudah berhasil, baik
dalam kaitannya dengan aspek output, outcome, benefit, maupun impact, 2)
tingkat peranan PPL dalam keberhasilan Program PUAP sudah baik, baik dalam
hal melakukan peranan sebagai diseminasi informasi/inovasi, fasilitasi, supervisi,
pemantauan, dan evaluasi, dan 3) faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan
keberhasilan Program PUAP adalah tingkat peranan PPL, tingkat partisipasi
petani, tingkat pengelolaan dana yang diterima petani, dan tingkat pengetahuan
petani tentang program PUAP.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study are to analyze 1) the success level of PUAP program, 2)
the level of Agri-Extension Worker (AEW) role against PUAP program, and 3)
the factors that relate to the success of PUAP program. This research was
conducted in Sungkai District North Lampung Regency. The samples in this study
are 52 farmers who were selected randomly and 12 Agri-Extension Workers who
were selected purposively. The data analysis methods used are qualitativedescriptive
analysis, tabulation and Rank Spearman correlation. The results
showed that 1) the success rate of PUAP program has been successful, both in the
relation in output, outcome, benefit, and impact, 2) the level of AEW role towards
the success of PUAP program is good, both in terms of doing the role as the
diseminator of information/inovation, facilitator, supervisor, monitoring, and
evaluator, and 3) the factors that related to the successfull of PUAP Program are
the level of AEW?s role, the level of farmer?s participation, the level of funds
management received by farmers, and farmer?s level of knowledge about PUAP
program.
