N2  - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berbasis tahap berpikir
Van Hiele yang layak pada pokok bahasan bangun datar segi empat ditinjau dari
pemahaman konsep geometri siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and
Development dengan prosedur yang dikembangkan oleh Borg and Gall, tetapi
hanya dilakukan hingga tahap revisi hasil uji lapangan terbatas (main product
revision). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Sidomulyo
dengan karakteristik kemampuan siswa yang tahap berpikirnya berada pada tahap
visualisasi. Data validasi diperoleh dari validasi ahli dan pemahaman konsep
siswa diperoleh melalui hasil tes. Oleh karena itu, pengolahan data menggunakan
analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar matematika
berbasis tahap berpikir Van Hiele pada pokok bahasan bangun datar segi empat
adalah valid dengan memperoleh kategori baik dan efektif. Hal tersebut dilihat
dari tingkat ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa yang melebihi persentase ketuntasan
minimal.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this research is to produce a teaching material base on Van Hiele
model of thinking stage on rectangular flat subject viewed from students'
understanding of Geometrical concept. This is a type of Research and
Development with procedures developed by Borg and Gall which was only
carried out until the revision of limited field test result (main product revision).
The subjects in this research were students of grade VII State Junior High School
2 Sidomulyo with visualization thinking stage characteristics. The data validation
were obtained from expert validation and students' understanding of geometrical
concept obtained through the test results. Therefore, the data processing was
done using descriptive analysis. The results showed that mathematics teaching
materials with Van Hiele model thinking stage on rectangular flat subject was
valid with good and effective gain category. It could be seen from the level of
completeness of student learning outcomes that exceed the minimum percentage
of completeness.
