        abstract = {Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis (1) perbedaan hasil belajar
siswa kelas XI IPS 1 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Cooperatif Integrated
Reading And Composition (CIRC) dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 2 yang
menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) pengaruh penggunaan model
pembelajaran CIRC terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS I pada mata pelajaran
geografi di SMA N I Pesisir Utara Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Penelitian menggunakan
metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 1 dan
kelas XI IPS 2. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t dan analisis regresi
linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan hasil belajar
siswa kelas XI IPS 1 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran CIRC dengan hasil
belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 2 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional, (2)
Penggunaan model pembelajaran CIRC berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap
hasil siswa kelas XI IPS I pada mata pelajaran Geografi di SMA N I Pesisir Utara
Kabupaten Pesisir Barat.

abstract

This research was aimed at finding out and to analyze (1) the difference between the
students? learning result at class XI Social 1 that used model of Cooperative Integrated
Reading And Composition (CIRC) Learning type and the students? learning result at
class XI Social 2 that used conventional learning model, (2) the effect of using model of
CIRC Learning type on the students? learning result at class XI Social 1 of Geography
subject at SMAN 1 Pesisir Utara West Pesisir District. Quasi experiment was used in
this study. The populations were the students at class XI Social 1 and 2. To analyze the
data, T-Test and linear regression analysis were used. The results showed that (1) there
was a difference between the students? learning result at class XI Social 1 that used
model of CIRC Learning type and the students? learning result at class XI Social 2 that
used conventional learning model, (2) using model of CIRC Learning type there was an
positive effect and significant of on the students? learning result at class XI Social 1 of
Geography subject at SMAN 1 Pesisir Utara West Pesisir District .
