Metode PBL dilakukan oleh mahasiswa dengan cara bekerja sama dalam suatu kelompok kecil yang bertujuan membangun pengetahuan dengan menggunakan kasus masalah yang realistis sehingga dapat menjadi pacuan dalam memicu proses belajar. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keaktifan peserta didik dalam PBL adalah gaya belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya belajar terhadap keaktifan peserta didik saat PBL.  Metode Penelitian: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah analitik cross sectional, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah angkatan 2013 dengan sampel sebanyak 174 responden. Data gaya belajar didapatkan melalui pengisian kuesioner VARK dan keaktifan saat diskusi PBL dari instrument keaktifan. Uji analisis menggunkan uji chi-square.  Hasil Penelitian: Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara gaya belajar terhadap keaktifan mahasiswa saat PBL. Kinestetik adalah gaya belajar dominan digunakan yakni sebesar 34.5% dan 111 peserta didik aktif dalam diskusi PBL. Uji chi-square menyatakan terdapat hubungan gaya belajar dan keaktifan mahasiswa diperoleh p= 0,001.  Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara gaya belajar dengan keaktifan mahasiswa saat Problem-Based Learning di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. ABSTRACT    Background: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an innovative new learning models and can provide active learning conditions involving learners to take an active part in the discussion PBL. PBL method performed by the students by working together in small groups that aims to build knowledge by using the case of a problem so that can be a race in triggering the process of learning . One of the factors that affect active learners in the PBL is a learning style. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning styles with activeness on PBL  Methods: The design of study was cross sectional analytic with a sampling technique total sampling. Population in this study is the force in 2013 with the sample 174 respondents. Learning style’s data obtained through VARK questionnaires and activeness on PBL get by instrument of activeness. The analysis test using chi- square.  Result: The result obtained that there was an association between learning styles with activeness on PBL. Kinesthetic learning style that was predominantly used which amounted to 34.5 % and 111 students actively in discussions PBL. The association learning style and student activity test results obtained by p = 0,001.  Conclutions: There was association between learning styles with activeness on PBL medical student of Lampung University.  Keywords: activeness, learning style, problem-based learning,VARK
