        abstract = {Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi petani terhadap program Upsus Pajale, mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan persepsi petani dalam program upsus pajale, mengetahui efektivitas kelompok tani dalam pelaksanaan program upsus pajale dan mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi petani dengan efektivitas kelompok tani dalam mengikuti program upsus pajale di Kecamatan Banjar Baru. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Banjar Baru, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang dengan 67 responden dari petani padi yang mengikuti program Upsus Pajale di Banjar Baru. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode survey menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik korelasi rank spearman untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa persepsi petani terhadap program Upsus Pajale termasuk dalam klasifikasi menguntungkan, faktor-faktor yang berhubungan adalah pendidikan, motivasi, lingkungan sosial dan dukungan instansi pemerintah, sedangkan faktor yang tidak berhubungan adalah tingkat pengetahuan. Efektivitas kelompok tani termasuk dalam kategori efektif dan persepsi petani berhubungan dengan efektivitas kelompok tani.

ABSTRACT

The objectives of this research are to analyze farmer?s perception in Upsus Pajale Program, to determine factors related to farmer?s perception in Upsus Pajale Program, to figur out effectivity of farmer group in Upsus Pajale Program, and to find out the relationship between of farmer?s perception and farmer group effectivity in implementing Upsus Pajale Program. This research involved 67 respondents of rice farmer who joined Upsus Pajale Program. Data were collected using survey method with descriptive analysis and rank spearmen correlation. The results showed that farmers perceived that Upsus Pajale Program was beneficial for them. Factor related to farmer?s perception include education, motivation, social environment, and government support. On the other hand knowledge level has no relation to farmer?s perception. Farmer group has effective role in delivering Upsus Pajale Program. Farmers perceived that farmers group was effective.in supporting Upsus Pajale Program.
