abstract: ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah terdapat perbedaan volume perdagangan sebelum dan sesudah perubahan fraksi harga saham pada seluruh perusahaan di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Sampel pada penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling.
Berdasarkan kriteria yang ada, diperoleh 385 perusahaan yang menjadi sampel penelitian. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan paired sample t-test yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji normalitas terlebih dahulu.
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara volume perdagangan sebelum dan sesudah peristiwa perubahan fraksi harga saham. Berdasarkan hasil nilai rata-rata volume perdagangan meningkat dengan signifikan sesudah periode perubahan fraksi harga saham.

Kata kunci: Perubahan Fraksi Harga Saham, Volume Perdagangan, dan Bursa Efek Indonesia.

ABSTRACT

This research aims to examine the differences in trading volume pre- and post- the tick size change on all companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample of this research are obtained by using purposive sampling method.
Based on the criteria, 385 companies were selected as research samples. Hypothesis testing was done by using paired sample t-test which previously performed normality test first.
The result of the research shows that there is a significant difference between trading volume before and after the change of tick size change. Based on the result of the average value of trading volume increased significantly after the period of the tick size change.
