Publik menganggap informasi yang disajikan cenderung dramatis, mengandalkan deskripsi terutama gambar-gambar kekerasan dan hampir selalu merangkainya dengan pernyataan tidak resmi dari sumber kepolisian. Pada awal tahun 2016, aksi terorisme kembali terjadi di Indonesia. Teror bom disertai rentetan penembakan di Jalan M.H. Thmarin Jakarta Pusat, Kamis 14 Januari 2016, yang dikenal dengan “Tragedi Teror Bom Sarinah.”Salah satu media nasional Indonesia yaitu Majalah Tempo menjadikan pemberitaan tersebut sebagai laporan utama, selama tiga edisi berturut-turut. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Majalah Tempo edisi 18 Januari-7 Februari 2016 dalam menampilkan peristiwa dan aktor-aktor sosial dalam pemberitaan terkait “Tragedi Teror Bom Sarinah”. Ada tujuh teks berita yang di analisis. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan model analisis wacana kritis Theo Van Leeuwen. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Penyusunan Agenda.    Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwa Majalah Tempo melakukan pemarjinalan dan konstruksi pada pemberitaan. Pemarjinalan dan konstruksi itu sendiri dibuktikan dengan adanya kalimat yang mengalami proses ekslusi dan inklusi. Informasi yang disajikan dalam pemberitaan banyak berasal dari sumber kepolisian atau Dansus 88. Dalam teks juga tidak ada kesaksian langsung atau konfirmasi dari pihak yang dituduh sebagai dalang dibalik peledakan bom tersebut.     Kata kunci: Analisis Wacana Kritis Theo Van Leeuwen, Majalah Tempo, Terorisme    SARINAH TRAGEDY  IN THE NEWS TEMPO MAGAZINE    (Theo Van Leeuwen’s Critical Discourse Analysis In The News Texts about Sarinah Bomb Terror Tragedy In Tempo Magazine, Edition Januari-7 18 February 2016 )    The news of terrorism in the media often get pungent criticism from the public. The public regards the information is tending to dramatic, rely on description especially images of violence and almost always assemble with non-official statement from police. Early in the year 2016, acts of terrorism occurred again in Indonesia. Bomb terror accompanied with series of gunshots in M.H. Thmarin Street Central Jakarta, Thursday 14 January 2016, known as “Sarinah Bomb Terror Tragedy.”One of the national media in Indonesia, Tempo Magazine made the news as the main report, for three successive editions. This research aimed to see how Tempo Magazine edition 18 January-7 February 2016 presented incidents and social actors in news related to Sarinah bomb terror tragedy. There are seven news textsto be analysed. The research method is descriptive qualitative with Theo Van Leeuwen’s Critical Discourse Analysis. The theory used in this research is agenda setting theory.    Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, it can be seen that Tempo Magazine marginalized and constructed the news.The marginalization and construction is proven in sentences subjected to the process of exclusion and inclusion. The information many came from police or Dansus 88. In the text there are no direct testification or confirmation of the alleged mastermind behind the bomb terror.
