This research was conducted by survey method. Location of this research was determined purposively around agroindustry of tapioca vermicelli in Metro City. The amount of research samples in this research was as many as 71 households, and the respondents in this research were housewives who were selected by simple random sampling. The data was collected in month of February – April 2017, and was analyzed by descriptive quantitative analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, and verification analysis by multiple linear regression. The result showed that household decision making in processed local food was consist of introduction needs, seeking information, evaluation of the alternative, selection decision, and post-selection evaluation. The amount of energy consumption was 6,482 kcal/household/day or 1,620 kcal/capita/day. The score of desireable dietary pattern was only 57.45. Cassava was one of the most consumed local foods and has the most processed product. Cassava chips were the processed product of cassava that was consumed in the largest frequency. Most of household got the processed local food by buying. Tapioca vermicelli was familiar to be consumed along with meatball. The total amount of its consumption in a week was 41-150 grams/household, and most of the household got the processed tapioca vermicelli by buying. The household desireable dietary pattern around agroindustry of tapioca vermicelli in Metro City was influenced by the household number, the age of housewife, and the high rank of nutrition knowledge of the housewife. Key words: consumption pattern, decision making, local food, tapioca vermicelli ABSTRACT Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengambilan keputusan dalam pemilihan pangan lokal olahan, pola konsumsi pangan, pola konsumsi pangan lokal olahan dan pola konsumsi bihun tapioka, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pola konsumsi pangan oleh rumah tangga sekitar agroindustri bihun tapioka di Kota Metro. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survai. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja yaitu di sekitar agroindustri bihun tapioka di Kota Metro. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 71 rumah tangga dengan respondennya adalah ibu rumah tangga yang dipilih dengan metode acak sederhana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Februari – April 2017. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif, statistik deskriptif dan verifikatif dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rumah tangga dalam pemilihan pangan lokal olahan melalui tahap pengenalan kebutuhan, pencarian informasi, evaluasi alternatif, keputusan pemilihan, dan evaluasi pasca pemilihan. Konsumsi energi per rumah tangga adalah 6.482 kkal/hari atau 1.620 kkal/kapita/hari dengan skor pola pangan harapan (PPH) sebesar 57,45. Ubi kayu adalah pangan lokal yang banyak dikonsumsi rumah tangga dan memiliki jenis olahan terbanyak. Frekuensi konsumsi terbesar adalah keripik singkong. Pangan lokal olahan sebagian besar diperoleh dari membeli. Bihun tapioka banyak dikonsumsi dalam olahan bakso, dengan jumlah konsumsi per rumah tangga per minggu antara 41-150 gram, yang sebagian besar rumah tangga memperoleh olahan bihun tapioka dengan cara membeli. Pola konsumsi pangan rumah tangga sekitar agroindustri bihun tapioka di Kota Metro dipengaruhi oleh jumlah anggota rumah tangga, usia ibu rumah tangga dan tingkat pengetahuan gizi ibu rumah tangga kategori tinggi.
