Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan sekam padi, jerami padi dan serutan kayu sebagai bahan litter terhadap respon fisiologis broiler fase finisher (14 hari--panen) di closed house, 2) mengetahui jenis bahan litter yang terbaik terhadap respon fisiologis broiler fase finisher (14 hari--panen) di closed house. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 26 hari yaitu pada 15 April--10 Mei 2014, di closed house milik PT. Rama Jaya Lampung Desa Krawang Sari, Kecamatan Natar, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas jenis bahan litter (sekam padi, serutan kayu, dan jerami padi). Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri atas 15 ekor dengan 18 petak kandang sehingga broiler strain CP 707 yang digunakan sebanyak 270 ekor. Pengambilan sampel respon fisiologis dilakukan sebanyak 20\% dari jumlah satuan percobaan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam menggunakan taraf nyata 5\%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1) penggunaan berbagai jenis bahan litter terhadap respon fisiologis broiler tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap frekuensi pernapasan, frekuensi denyut jantung, suhu rektal, dan suhu shank, (2) perlakuan jenis bahan litter sekam padi, serutan kayu, dan jerami padi pada closed house tidak ada yang berpengaruh terbaik terhadap frekuensi pernapasan, denyut jantung, suhu rektal, dan suhu shank pada broiler fase finisher. ABSTRACT Maintenance systems especially broiler in closed house can not be separated from the use of litter as a base because of the different types of litter materials used have different absorption properties that can lead to moisture and temperature effects on the outside as well as inside the cage and can affect physiological broiler. This study aimed to: 1) determine the effect of the use of rice husk, rice straw and wood shavings as litter material on the physiological response of broiler finisher phase (14th days--harvest) in closed house, 2) determine the best type of litter material on the physiological response of broiler finisher phase (14th days--harvest) in the closed house. This study was conducted over 26th days on 15th April--10th May 2014 in closed house owned by PT. Rama Jaya Lampung Krawang Sari Village, Natar District, South Lampung regency. The design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. The treatment consists of the type of litter material (rice husk, wood shavings, straw and rice). Each experimental unit consisted of 15 birds and 18 plots enclosure so broiler strain CP 707 is used as much as 270 tails. Sampling was conducted physiological responses by 20\% of the number of experimental units. The Data obtained was analyzed using a range of 5\% significance level. Based on these results it can be concluded that: (1) the use of various types of litter materials on the physiological response of broiler did not significantly affect respiratory rate, heart rate, rectal temperature and temperature shank, (2) treatment of rice husk litter type material, shavings wood, and rice straw on the closed house best no effect on respiratory rate, heart rate, rectal temperature, and temperature on broiler finisher phase shank.
