Hasil dari hutan mangrove berupa kayu dan non kayu.  Hasil non kayu dapat dimanfaatkan seperti Pedada (Sonneratia caseolaris) dan Jeruju (Acanthus ilicifolius) yang telah diolah menjadi makanan tetapi belum diketahui upaya konservasinya.  Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mengetahui upaya konservasi yang dilakukan masyarakat Desa Margasari terkait pemanfaatan Pedada (S.  caseolaris) dan Jeruju (A.  ilicifolius).  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Maret 2017 di Lampung Mangrove Center.  Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuesioner dengan jumlah responden wanita 97 responden.  Upaya konservasi  Pedada (S.  caseolaris) terdiri dari aspek perlindungan 36%, aspek pengawetan 49%, dan aspek pemanfaatan 54%.  Upaya konservasi yang paling banyak dilakukan adalah aspek pemanfaatan.  Data lain yang diperoleh adalah Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) Pohon Pedada (N=10) sebesar 173,14%, Pohon Lamtoro (N=5) sebesar 75,11% dan pohon Buta-Buta (N=2) sebesar 53,73%.

The products of mangrove forest were timber and non timber.  The non timber products could be utilized like Pedada (Sonneratia caseolaris) and Jeruju (Acanthus ilicifolius), which were processed to be food but it the conservation effort had been not reported yet. This research aimed to determine the conservation effort of Margasari villagers related to the utilization of Pedada (S. caseolaris) and Jeruju (A. ilicifolius).  This research was done in March 2017 in Lampung Mangrove Centre.  The method used was the questionnaire method with the number of respondent was 97 women.  The conservation effort of protection aspect founded 36%, preservation aspect founded 49% and utilization aspects founded 54%.  The most conservation effort was utilization.  Another obtained data were important value index (IVI) of Pedada trees (N=10) was 173,14%, Lamtoro trees (N=5) was 75,11% and Buta-Buta trees (N=2) was 53,73%.
