Ketersediaan ikan baung sebagai bahan pangan masyarakat sebagian besar masih berasal dari hasil tangkapan di alam. Saat ini pakan buatan berupa pelet ikan sudah banyak digunakan oleh pembudidaya ikan baung, tetapi sejauh ini salah satu masalah yang belum dapat teratasi secara baik adalah kualitas pakan, ketersedian pakan, dan banyaknya pakan yang tidak dimanfaatkan oleh ikan. Penambahan komposisi enzim khususnya enzim pencernaan seperti enzim protease yang mampu menghidrolisis protein menjadi unsur-unsur yang lebih sederhana yaitu peptida hingga asam amino sehingga meningkatkan pemanfaatan protein pakan oleh tubuh ikan baung. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai dengan Mei 2017 bertempat di Laboratorium Budidaya Perikanan, Program Studi Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan tiga ulangan yaitu A (tanpa penambahan enzim), B (penambahan enzim 0,5%), C (penambahan enzim 2,25%), dan D (penambahan enzim 4%). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan komposisi enzim sebesar 2,25% memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan ikan baung dengan pertumbuhan mutlak 11,06 gram, pertumbuhan harian 0,28 gram/hari, serta rasio konversi pakan 1,79. Kata kunci : Ikan baung; Kelangsungan hidup; Komposisi enzim; Pertumbuhan. abstract Mystus nemurus is one of freshwater aquaculture commodities in Indonesia. The availability of Mystus nemurus as food for the community mostly still comes from the catch in nature. Currently, artificial feed in the form of fish pellet has been widely used by Mystus nemurus’s farmers, but so far one of the problems that have not been resolved properly are the quality of feed, the availability of feed, and the amount of feed that is not utilized by the fish. The addition of enzyme composition, especially digestive enzymes such as protease enzymes are capable to hydrolyzing proteins into simpler elements of peptides to amino acids that increase the use of protein feed by the body of Mystus nemurus. The study was conducted from April to May 2017 at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Departement of Fisheries and Marine, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The design of the study was a complete randomized design with 4 treatments and three replicates A (without addition), B (0,5% addition of enzyme), C (2,25% addition of enzyme), and D (4% addition of enzyme ). The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA test and followed by LSD test. The results showed that the addition of enzyme composition of 2.25% gave the best influence to the growth of Mystus nemurus with absolute growth of 11.06 grams, daily growth of 0.28 grams / day, and feed conversion ratio of 1.79.
