abstract: Proses komunikasi antarpribadi dianggap paling efektif dalam upaya mengubah
sikap, prilaku atau karakter pada diri seseorang melalui pendidikan kepramukaan
sebagai upaya pencegahan prilaku penurunan moral saat ini pada remaja.
Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses
komunikasi antarpribadi pembina Pramuka dalam membentuk karakter dan untuk
mengetahui bagaimana peserta didik mampu memaknai pesan yang disampaikan
oleh pembina. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teori DeVito
dengan cara pendekatan humanistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian
deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara,
dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembina
Pramuka dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik, melalui proses komunikasi
antarpribadi menggunakan dasa dharma Pramuka mampu membentuk rasa
percaya diri, kemampuan bekerja sama, kemampuan bergaul, sikap mandiri, rasa
empati dan kemampuan berkomunikasi yang baik. Penelitian ini menunjukkan
bahwa aspek keterbukaan, sikap mendukung, dan rasa empati adalah aspek yang
paling efektif digunakan pembina Pramuka dan peserta didik.

abstract

The process of interpersonal communication is considered most effective in an
attempt to change attitudes, behaviors or character in a person through scouting
education as an effort to prevent current moral decline behavior in adolescents.
Based on that problem, this study aims to determine the process of interpersonal
communication of scout leaders in shaping the character and to know how
learners are able to interpret the message conveyed by the coach. The theory used
in this research is DeVito theory using humanistic approach. This research uses
descriptive qualitative and the data was collected uses interview, observation,
documentation, and library research. The results of this study indicate that the
scout leaders can shape the character of the learners, through the process of
interpersonal communication using dasa dharma scouts are able to establish selfconfidence,
cooperative ability, sociability, independent attitude, empathy and
good communication skills. This research shows that the aspect of openness,
supportive attitude, and empathy are the most effective aspects used by scouts and
learners.
