abstract: Perkembangan teknologi sangatlah pesat. Pada saat ini teknologi sudah menjamur di kehidupan manusia, seperti handphone dan komputer sekarang sudah menjadi kebutuhan untuk sebagian banyak orang. Komputer dapat memberikan informasi yang diinginkan dengan menggunakan internet, namun internet dapat memberikan dampak negatif bagi penggunanya. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti merancang sebuah aplikasi berbabis web yang dapat memblokir situs yang dapat berdampak buruk bagi penggunanya menggunakan Squid Proxy. Squid adalah suatu daemon yang digunakan sebagai proxy server dan web cache yang memiliki fungsi sebagai Connection sharing, filtering dan caching. Website yang dibangun meliputi menu blokir domain yang dapat memblokir website dan juga bagi bandwidth yang dapat membagi kecepatan bandwidth. 

Kata Kunci: bandwidth, proxy, Squid, server, website, blokir domain, proxy server, GNU/Linux, Debian.

ABSTRACT


The development of technology is very fast. At this time, technology has been influenced human life. For most of people, handphone and computer now become a necessity, because we can set many information from internet which can be accessed by way handphone or computer. However, internet has two sides of effect, positive and negative. In this research, we build an web base application which can block a negative-influence sites using Squid Proxy. Squid is a daemon that use as a proxy server and web cache. It can work as a connection sharing, filtering and caching. The website built include a domain block page that can block a website and bandwidth share page that can share bandwidth speed.
