The Influence of Administering Lampung Robusta Coffee to Histological Appearance Coronary Artery of Male White Rat (Sprague dawley)

Background: Coffee is one of caffeine sources. Recent observations show that high levels of caffeine intake will increase the concentration of homocystein. Increased concentrations of homocystein are closely linked to the risk of cardiovascular disease. Objective: To know the effect giving Lampung Robusta Coffee to Histological Appearance Coronary Artery of Male White Rat (Sprague dawley). Method: The type of this research is pure laboratory experimental design with post test only control group designs. The population was 8-12 weeks old with 20 mice samples divided into 4 experimental groups. Result:  The  results  showed  that  in  group  K(-)  had  normal  coronary  artery histology. In P1 the arrangement of intima, media and adventitia tunica begin irregule the coronary artery getting thicker. P2 shows that the coronary artery getting more thick than group K(-) and P1. In P3 the arrangement of intima, media and adventitia tunica are irreguler and the coronary artery thickness is over than K(-), P1 and P2. Data is normally distributed. One Way Anova test results obtained p value <0.05 in all groups. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving Lampung Robusta Coffee to Histological Structure Coronary Artery of Male White Rat (Sprague dawley).

Latar Belakang: Kopi merupakan salah satu sumber kafein. Observasi terkini menunjukan bahwa kadar asupan kafein yang tinggi akan membuat terjadinya peningkatan konsentrasi homosistein. Meningkatnya konsentrasi homosistein berhubungan erat dengan resiko penyakit kardiovaskuler. Tujuan:  Mengetahui  pengaruh  pemberian  kopi  robusta  Lampung  terhadap gambaran histologi arteri koronaria tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan galur 
Sprague dawley. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah desain eksperimental metode rancangan acak terkontrol dengan pola post test only control group designs. Populasi berupa tikus putih berjumlah 20 ekor yang berusia 8-12 minggu dibagi kedalam 4 kelompok percobaan. Hasil: Kelompok K(-) memiliki histologis arteri koronaria normal. Pada P1 susunan tunika intima, tunika media dan adventitia mulai tidak teratur dan sedikit terjadi penebalan arteri koroner. Pada P2 menunjukkan peningkatan ketebalan jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol dan P1. Pada P3 susunan tunika intima, tunika media dan adventitia sudah tidak teratur dan ketebalan arteri koroner lebih tebal dibandingkan kelompok kontrol, P1 dan P2. Data terdistribusi normal. Hasil uji One Way Anova didapatkan nilai p<0,05 pada semua kelompok. 
Kesimpulan:  Terdapat  penebalan  dinding  arteri  koronaria  tikus  putih  (Rattus norvegicus)   jantan   galur   Sprague   dawley   akibat   pemberian   kopi   robusta 
Lampung.
