%A 1418011108 INTAN HARDIANTI %T HUBUNGAN ANTARA SELF-ESTEEM DAN PERILAKU ACADEMIC DISHONESTY PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS LAMPUNG %X Latar belakang: Academic dishonesty adalah suatu perbuatan dalam kegiatan akademik yang tidak diperbolehkan untuk mendapatkan suatu pencapaian yang baik. Academic dishonesty dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, antara lain usia, jenis kelamin, teman sebaya, IPK, situasi, self-efficacy, self-esteem dan lain-lain. Self-esteem adalah suatu penilaian individu terhadap dirinya sendiri, apakah ia merasa dirinya berharga, atau apakah ia mampu untuk menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan. Belum terdapat penelitian mengenai hubungan antara self-esteem dan academic dishonesty pada mahasiwa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-esteem dan academic dishonesty pada mahasiwa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional selama bulan Desember 2017 hingga Maret 2018 di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. Responden penelitian ini terdiri dari 272 mahasiwa. Penelitian ini menggunakan stratified random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan terdapat 197 responden dengan tingkat self-esteem tinggi dan 75 responden dengan tingkat self-esteem rendah. Terdapat 194 responden dengan perilaku academic dishonesty jarang dan 78 responden dengan perilaku academic dishonesty sering. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan terdapat hubungan bermakna antara self-esteem dan perilaku academic dishonesty (p value 0,025) Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara self-esteem dan perilaku academic dishonesty pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lampung. Kata kunci: academic dishonesty, menyontek, mahasiswa, self-esteem abstract Background: Academic dishonesty is a deed in academic activities that are not allowed to get a good achievement. Academic dishonesty is influenced by many factors such as age, gender, peers, GPA, the situation, self-efficacy, self-esteem and others. Self-esteem is an individual?s judgement of himself whether he feels himself worthy or whether he is capable to solving a problem. There has been no research about the relationship of self-esteem and academic dishonesty behaviour in Medical Faculty University of Lampung. Objective: The aim of this research is to know the relationship of self-esteem and academic dishonesty behaviour in Medical Faculty University of Lampung. Method: It was a quantitative research with cross sectional design during December 2017 until March 2018 in Medical Faculty University of Lampung. Respondent of this research consisted of 272 students. It used stratified random sampling. The data was analyzed with chi square test. Result: The result showed there were 197 responden that have high selfesteem and 75 responden that have low self-esteem. There were 194 responden with seldom academic dishonesty and 78 responden with often academic dishonesty. Bivariate analysis showed there was a significant relation between self-esteem and academic dishonesty behavior (p value 0,025) Conclusion: There is a significant relation between self-esteem and academic dishonesty behaviour in Medical Faculty University of Lampung.
