YANG DIINDUKSI BENZO(α)PIREN ispublished: pub subjects: QH301 subjects: RS full_text_status: restricted abstract: Kanker merupakan penyakit yang ditandai dengan adanya pembelahan sel yang tidak terkendali. Beberapa penelitian dilakukan untuk mendapatkan obat yang berbasis bahan alam dan dipercayai memiliki efek samping yang kecil dan memiliki efek terapi yang baik sehingga mengurangi penggunaan obat kimia. Daun bunga kupu-kupu (Bauhinia purpurea L.) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang baik serta bersifat antiproliferatif. Selain itu, taurin juga memiliki fungsi untuk melindungi sel-sel dari radikal bebas dan dapat menghambat proliferasi tumor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektivitas antikanker dari ekstrak daun bunga kupu-kupu (Bauhinia purpurea L.) dan taurin terhadap jumlah leukosit, eritrosit, dan respon histopatologi otak mencit (Mus musculus L.) yang diinduksi benzo(α)piren. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan terbagi dalam 4 kelompok perlakuan dengan 6 ulangan. Kelompok K1= (K-), K2 (diinduksi benzo(α)piren dosis 0,3 mg/bb 10 hari), K3 (diinduksi benzo(α)piren 10 hari kemudian ekstrak daun bunga kupu-kupu dosis 22,4 mg/bb 15 hari), K4 (diinduksi benzo(α)piren 10 hari kemudian taurin dosis 15,6 mg/bb/hari dikombinasikan ekstrak daun bunga kupu-kupu dosis 22,4 mg/bb 15 hari). Data yang diperoleh diuji homogenitas dengan uji levene selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik ANOVA (analysis of variance) pada taraf nyata 5% (p<0,05), jika terdapat perbedaan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT (Beda NyataTerkecil) pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian taurin dosis 15,6 mg/bb/hari yang dikombinasikan dengan ekstrak daun bunga kupu-kupu dosis 22,4 mg/bb/hari selama 15 hari efektif dalam melindungi leukosit, eritrosit dan mengurangi kerusakan sel otak akibat induksi benzo(α)piren. Some research is done to get the drug based natural ingredients and is believed to have little side effects and has a good therapeutic effect thus reducing the use of chemical drugs. Bauhinia purpurea L. has a good antioxidant activity as well as the nature of effect tumor cells. In addition, taurine also has the function to protect the cells from free radicals and inhibit proliferation of tumor. The purpose of this study was to determine the anticancer effectivity of Bauhinia purpurea L. leaves ethanolic extract and taurine on the leukocyte, erythrocyte and brain histopathology of mice induced by benzo(α)pyrene. This study was conducted in a complete randomized design by using four treatments, each in six replications. K1 used as control were not given any treatment. K2 were induced by 0,3 mg/bw benzo(α)pyrene subcutaneously for 10 days without being given Bauhinia purpurea L. leaves extract nor taurine. K3 were given 22,4 mg/bw of Bauhinia purpurea L. leaves extract for 15 days after being induced by benzo(α)pyrene. K4 were given 15,6 mg/bw of taurine which was combined by 22,4 mg/bw of Bauhinia purpurea L. extract for 15 days after being induced by benzo(α)pyrene. The data will be tasted homogenity with levene test and then were analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) then continued by calculating least significant difference at 0,05 level of significance. The results indicated that taurine which was combined by Bauhinia purpurea L. leaves ethanolic extract had the ability to to protect leukocyte, erythrocyte and brain cell form the damage caused by benzo(α)pyrene.
