Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Grup Desaign. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII 1 dan kelas VIII 3 SMP Negeri 2 Liwa  Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t dan effect size.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Tidak ada perbedaan rata-rata nilai pretes mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu pada kelas yang akan diberi metode pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai model , (2) Nilai rata-rata postes hasil belajar IPS Terpadu pada kelas yang diberikan metode pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai model pembelajaran lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kelas yang diberi metode ceramah, (3) Pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar lebih efektif dibandingkan metode ceramah pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Liwa.      Kata kunci: pemanfaatan lingkungan, sumber belajar, hasil belajar ips terpadu.                    ABSTRACT    This aims to determine (1) Difference of pretest average of Integrated IPS subjects in class that will be given method of environmental utilization as model of learning and class given method of lecture, (2) Avarage posttest result of study of IPS Integrated in class which will be given method of environmental utilization as model of learning is higher than in class given method of lecture, (3) Method of environmental utilization more effective than method of lecture in Integrated IPS subjects class VIII in Public Junior High School 2 Liwa.    Research using quasi-experimental methods with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Desaign. Subject in this research is student class VIII-1 and class VIII-3 Public Junior High School 2 Liwa School Year 2015/2016. The data analysis technique used is t test and effect size.    Research result show that (1) There is no difference average pretest value of Integrated IPS subject in class that given methods of environmental utilization. (2) The average value of IPS Integrated learning outcomes in the class given methods as environmental utilization higher than in class given lecture methods. (3) Learning that utilizes the environment as a learning resource is more effective than lecture methods on the subjects of Integrated IPS class VIII in Public Junior High School 2 Liwa.
