N2  - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh family ownership dan
proporsi anggota keluarga pada dewan direksi terhadap kinerja perusahaan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Keagenan dengan menggunakan variabel
dependen kinerja perusahaan (Tobin?s Q) dan variabel independen yaitu family
ownership dan proporsi anggota keluarga pada dewan direksi. Selain itu juga
ditambahkan variabel kontrol yang digunakan yaitu leverage, firm size, dan firm
age. Berdasarkan populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh 37
perusahaan barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2016.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kedua variabel independen family ownership
dan proporsi anggota keluarga pada dewan direksi tidak berpengaruh terhadap
kinerja perusahaan pada tingkat signifikan 0.05. Hal ini mengidentifikasikan
bahwa ada atau tidaknya family ownership di suatu perusahaan tidak memiliki
pengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan.

abstract

The purpose of this study is determined the impact of family ownership and
proportion of family members on the board of directors on firm performance. This
research uses Agency Theory by using the dependent variable of firm
performance (Tobin's Q) and independent variable that is family ownership and
proportion of family member on board of directors. In addition, added control
variables used are leverage, firm size, and firm age. Based on population there are
37 companies in the reserch with 2016 period. The result showed that the partial
of the two independent variabel that is family ownership and proportion of family
member on board of directors has no effect on company performance at the 0.05
significance level. This identified that the presence or absence of family
ownership in a company has no influence on the performance of the company.
